    Reduce scaring?

About a month ago DS came off second best to a retaining wall and grazed and cut his chin. Luckily it didn't need stitches but did have those plastic strip things on for a few days until they fell off. The cut and graze have healed up but left a bit of a scar.

Can anyone recommend products that will reduce scaring.

Is it vitamin A? Pretty sure some $$$ beauty oil was recommended to me once. Sorry can't remember specifics Saffi?!

Bio-oil is supposed to be great on scars though...

Vitamin e is great you can just buy the vitamins and break then in half it's the cheapest way.

My DS2 had a stitch on his forehead about 6 months ago, which got infected and the stitch popped and they left the wound open to granulate. Once it healed over my gp recommended using dermatix gel for scar reduction, it's pretty expensive ($50 for a small tube!) but I've got to say that I'm amazed at how well the scar has healed, and I was so worried about him having a scar on his head! Now you can barely see it, luckily it's right near his hairline so hidden a bit. When I've shown people I can tell that they really have to look pretty closely to see. I've been using it twice a day for about 4 months now and the tube is still pretty full, a little bit goes a long way. Hope that helps!
