I'm planning on buying prefolds but wanted to know if the contour nappies are any better/worse than the normal ones. I'd appreciate anyone telling me about their experience.
by contoured nappies ...do you mean fitted nappies???
depends entirely to you.
i personally liked prefolds as they washed up quick, dried quick and I could have 24 of them in rotation without taking up a bucket load of space. As for covers you dont need to change them every change unless of course they are soiled. I preferred fleece and minkee covers as they allowed circulation to the important area
I had some fitted AIO's in my nappy bag for out and about for convenience.
I also preferred prefolds because you just cant pick the body shape and fit of the perfect nappy with a NB. Their all so scrunched up ect you dont know if their going to be long in the rise, wide in the hips, a side snapper setting or front snapping. Using the prefolds for the first 3 months allowed me to wait until my little bub's body stretch out enough for me to buy what was right for him
I think contours are a type of prefold? Are you referring to Kissaluv contours? They look good- simpler than square prefolds. I'm interested in getting some but haven't tried them yet sorry.
The only thing I'd say is I've found bamboo prefolds for $9 and these contours are only cotton for $11 so not as absorbent per dollar.
Yes sorry, should have explained myself. The contoured nappies are a type of prefold. Kissaluv's have
them. I'm tossing up whether to bother trying them or not. I'd pay the extra (they cost more than
normal prefolds) if they were worth it in convenience but perhaps I want a more fitted nappy I should just
get a fitted nappy!
