    Hi new and un-informed lol

    Hello everyone

Well im new to the forum, and DH and I have been ttc for about a month, my last AF was in April on the 22nd - 27th, I got some spotting around the 10th which lasted for three days, now over the last two weeks i have been getting headaches and metallic taste in my mouth I was due for AF on Wednesday (just gone) and still no sign of her yet and of/on nausea...also Im a very active person and found exercising/running around on netball courts has been a little bit harder, ie. running out of breath more easily!

Today i have a foul taste in my mouth (like I swallowed dishwash liquid) but the other symptoms arent surfacing today yet either. I POAS yesterday (Using CONFIRM HPT) and it was BFN, done another test today and same result, I dont know if Im reading way too much into the symptoms!?

I feel so dis-heartened but then by now AF Should start to make her presence felt IYKWIM!? I was thinkin I might book a dr appointment for late next week so if AF hasnt arrived then at least i have the booking in place to do a blood test!?

Sorry for rambling but any advice/thoughts/opinions are welcome

Hi and welcome aboard!! You'll be addicted in no time!! lol. I would say see your doctor but short of that and in the meantime it is very hard not to get a bit psychosomatic when TTC! I find that i can read into symptoms that aren't really there!! But in saying that, in early pregnancy anything goes! I had morning sickness, really tender breasts and bad heartburn at about 4 weeks with DS and usually it doesnt start till around 6 weeks and heartburn is usually a symptom that rears its ugly head later on in pregnancy so literally every woman is different and it may be very possible that you are UTD, I find that first response tests are the best and can detect a very low level of HCG in your urine so maybe that is something to try while you wait for your GP appt, I know how unnerving waiting to find out can be! Also it depends on how your body is producing HCG, If it pumping it out very early and quickly it will pick up a BFP on your HPT but if it is very slow (which is also common) you may not get a BFP for a while so blood test is the best way to go as it can detect a very very low level of HCG. Have you recently lost a large amount of weight or have been excercising heavily as this can stunt your periods temporarily. Good luck babe and i hope you get the answer you are wanting!! Let us know how you go!! xx

Hmmm....that's really confusing! I was gonna ask if the spotting around the 10th could have been an early AF but it would have been very early!! If you were due for AF on Wednesday just gone then thoretically you would have O'd around the 12th of May meaning that the spotting on the 10th possibly wasn't implantation or anything....Have you just come off the pill? If so perhaps your cycles are just a little messed up. Perhaps wait another week and then take a test if AF still hasn't shown.

as chody47 asked have you just come off the pill? when i was TTC last yr one month my AF was approx 2 1/2 wks late and HPT still showed BFN, went to dr and he said my body was most likely just sorting itself out after coming off the pill but wld do a BT to make sure, came back i wasnt pg but iron levels were low. coupleof days after BT AF come and very much overstayed her welcome. maybe take a HPT during the week if AF still hasnt shown up and if a BFN then see ur dr?

I have been off the pill for about two months, but before then just vaguely taking it for about one year (not consistent) but AF was always on time. I did two more HPT's on the weekend and both come up BFN (hello, my name is Tanya and im a BellyBelly TTC member and im addicted to POAS!) Hahaha but as much as I want to have BFP Im trying not to get my hopes up...too much anyway, so am keeping busy this week working back and assisting my netball coach with training juniors etc. Busy body = Busy mind and less time to think about everything!

Still no sign of AF showing up, but have booked the Dr appointment on Thursday afternoon so there is ample time for her arrival if she decides to come.

Also, thanks everyone for your kind words its nice to be a member on here everyone is really great
