I left poor DD in a pooey nappy when she had a nap yesterday, obviously not aware there was a pooey nappy. She had really bad nappy rash so i used bepanthen for bed time. She wears a BBH fitted with cover to bed. I was desperate (and currently have no liners...off to spotlight just in case)
I was tempted to not use a creme but it was so ouchy looking
How do i get the residual bepanthen of the nappy?
Do i do a strip wash, is it as bad as sudocrem etc ?
Thanks
If it's just the booster and not the actual nappy, I'd probably give it a scrub with a toothbrush hot water and some dishwashing detergent and then give it a soak in some napisan and hot water (if it's only th once it won't deteriorate the bamboo too much). If it is the nappy (with elastic involved) then just the scrubbing with the toothbrush and dishwashing detergent and then a hot strip wash.
Good luck
oh and get yourself some non petroleum based pawpaw ointment for next time.
It is just on the booster so i will try what you suggested.
I have looked for the paw paw ointment but have only found the one in the red tube which i think has petroleum. Liners will help. I find cloth nappies are just too good at masking smelly poo's. I could always tell.when she did one when we used to use sposies.
