    Bow legged 18mo...

Ok so I am off to book a Dr's appt as I have had 2 people comment that DD2 has very bowed legs - she has been walking for ~5 months and has not had any issues. The bowed part is from her knee to ankle I guess and only really noticeable from behind.
Has anyone else had similiar conditions and what happened?
    TIA

I remember my friend's niece had this problem... it just resolved itself in time. Sorry I can't be more specific, it was years ago, she's 4 now.

Thanks!! I am going to wait it out for a bit as she is a mad thing running about so it is not affecting her gait etc. She has only been walking for 3 months too - I got a bit spooked by a few people and am going to go with my gut for now. xx

DD1 has bowed legs and her ankles also turn in abit which i think make it look a lot worse than it is, i was worried so took her to the Dr's, they said it is 'mild' and will generally correct itself by 2 - 2.5 yrs of age, if it was still quite bad then they would look at it.

They said as they grow the tendons and muscles pull the bones into the correct shape.

If your really worried then it doesn't hurt to jusy get your Dr to have a look at the next appt, for your own piece of mind.

My little girl had bow legs at about the same age as Ava. She is now almost 3 and it is gone. The dr. will tell you to wait until Ava is about 3, because it usually disappears by the age of 3.
