Expressing with thrush????
Hi There, just wondering if thrush lives in the breast milk? I'm currently treating myself and DS for thrush and was wondering if I can express and store the milk or if it's best not to until the evil yeast is under control?

When I had nipple thrush I continued to express and give DS the milk - no problems there. Breast milk can actually really help treat the thrush too and its such a waste to let that liquid gold go to waste. I say use it!

Willow, it is fine to express and give the EBM when you have thrush. However to prevent re-infection, it is important to sterilise your pump and everything that goes into your baby's mouth at this time - eg teats, dummy, toys, no need to sterilise your nipples LOL!
