Carpet Stain, why didn't bicarb vinegar do the trick?

Baby food on my carpet...
Tried the old bicarb vinegar thing, and I can still see a faint yellow patch..
Any other tricks of the trade?
Should I leave it on longer? I heard vinegar can wreck the carpet.. bit wary.

What kind of baby food? Bicarb vinegar works on some stains, not all.

Store-bought baby wipes (like huggies or pigeon etc)! Seriously! You'll never use them on your childs bum when you see how well they get stains out, makes you wonder exactly what is in them...

Different foods need different stain removers. The wrong thing will set the stain. I have the Spotless books, it has a stain guide.
