Mould on leather

Today I went through my bags that are in the blanket box at the end of my bed & my black leather bag has mould on it. Then I decided to get out my leather jacket and (it must be winter) and there's mould on the shoulders!

My Mum said to use vinegar to clean my mouldy shoes, can I use vinegar on my bag & jacket?

I used vinegar to clean my DH's leather jacket when that happened to it. It worked brilliantly. I'm not too sure what to do about his suede jacket though
