Cengage Courses- what do you think about it?

I want to do study at home at my own pace and one of the courses which appeals to me is a cengage course.

Do you know anyone who has done one of their courses?

Is it dodgy? Is there courses worthwhile? Is it recognised?

    Thanks

    xxoo

I'm pretty sure they are legit (pretty sure meaning I don't know from experience but have never heard anything negative about that side of it). They are expensive though. It's be easier and cheaper to look into an external/flexible delivery TAFE course.

    Thanks Leash.

There is no other courses (TAFE or other) which offer the course i want to do in the depth in which i want to learn about it whilst being at home study.

On-site courses are like $7000 whilst this one at cengage is about $1400. Im sure the onsite courses covers a lot more and has the prac side of it too hence being sooo exxy.

I guess the main thing is to make sure that it is recognised in the field. Would suck to pay that much and study a course that isn't recognised KWIM. Sometimes thats why it is cheaper? If it's legit then go for it.

    A bit late sorry.

I'm doing a Cengage course. You can pay them monthly which is great and they are all nationally recognised courses!

I'm almost finished mine - started it in October and have enjoyed it!

TD - I am also a little late.
Depends on what the field is you choose to study. Something like Counscelling or Psychology I would not think it would be *up to par*, but other self interest ones I would think would be ok. I did a Teachers Assistant one back in 2006, and much to my disgust ($1500 later) it is not accepted by Education Department. So do your research.

    Good luck xoox
