    10yr old DS bedtime??

My 10 yr old DS goes to bed at 7.30pm mainly because he has alway been an early riser so I was thinking he needs the extra sleep.
this morning when DD1 stirred in her sleep I went to resettle her and there DS was playing his dsi... at 4am!!!
I was wondering if I let him stay up later he would sleep longer in the morning?
What time do your kids around that age go to bed??
Ive told him if he wakes before 6am he has to go back to sleep

My 9yo goes to bed at around 8:30 and is up at around 7-7:30. Sometimes she stays up until 9, but then she gets up a bit late and tries to watch morning TV instead of getting ready to go.

My 11yo dd goes to bed at 830, has done fro a few years. DS is 12 and goes to bed at 830 but can read or play DS until 9. I've never had a problem with them oversleeping.

I normally would send DD (8) at 8. Brought it back from 8.30 long ago, but lately that doesn't even seem early enough.
I sent them at 7 on Monday night & they were all asleep by 7.30! They suprised me & didn't wake til 8am! Sent them at 7.30 last night. DD1 was up about 7.30, I still had to wake DD2.
So I think 7 - 7.30 will be bed time around here more permanently now. DH always thought I was slack the nights I sent them early when he was working away. Now he see's exactly why I do it!!

My 10 yo goes to bed at 8pm. She is always asking me if she can stay up til 8.30 as all her friends at school do! She gets up at 5.30am every morning (her choice) as she has two ponies that are her responsibility to look after so i will be keeping her bedtime at 8pm. On nights when she has gone to bed later she is very tired the next day and often needs a nap!

8.30 is my 9 yr olds bed time...although most nights she's not asleep until 9.30. She's up between 7.30-8am.
