Sticky stuff on PUL cover

I got two new BBH PUL covers the other day and washed them both this morning.

I hung one of them out and noticed there is some white sticky stuff all over it. i don't know where it came from (although maybe I forgot to take the BBH sticker off it before I put it in the wash?) but it's only on the inside of the cover, and the other one which was in the same wash is perfectly fine.

I'm so annoyed and just hope it comes off, it was a brand new, never been used cover!

Is there anything I can use to help get it off? Trying to scratch it off with my nails doesn't work too well and would take forever...can I use something like eucalyptus oil on it or will that wreck the PUL? I'm not sure if washing it again will work because it seems pretty stuck.

I can't help, but I wouldn't use anything til you know.
What about hot water? Might soften the glue & make it easier to come off?

thanks clover, will try hot water. Don't worry I wasn't going to put anything on it until I found out it was ok! I used to today and it still worked fine, just the nappy stuck to it a little! Lol. Hopefully giving it another wash might help, if not get it off at least make it a little less sticky!
