    Naww she's so smart!

I never really understood people that said babies can understand what you say and know what you mean, i always thought 'but they're just babies!'.

But DD has shown me the light! She can kind of babble "duck" and starts saying it as soon as I start running her bath (she has a little rubber duck that is always in the bath with her), or if we go down to the park where the ducks are once we get there she'll start going "duck duck duck".

She has a stuffed cow with a little bell on it which was lying on the floor this afternoon. I said to her "where is the cow?" and she looked around, spotted it then got down onto the floor (she was standing holding onto my leg) and crawled over to it. There were other toys on the floor too so she definitely knew which one I was talking about! She has a little giraffe that she has when she goes to sleep and will do the same with that.

So cute!! And she's certainly a lot more clued in than I thought she was!

Wow you must be sooo proud of her!
I had a similar thing this week with my Moo. I was on the couch reading books to him (board books with just pictures) & one of the books had ducks which he loves. So I start reading the 2nd book which also had ducks in it. When Moo saw the ducks he immediately looked down at the 1st book that we'd seen ducks in!

Dd2 is obsessed with ducks too, her first word other than mama and dadda was duck duck. Its amazing watching them play and interact with their surroundings.
