    Red face Please slow down....

DD1 has always been a full on little girl and is very observant, i think she is quite clever for her age (but hey what mother doesn't think their little one is).

Since she was about 14mths she has been calling our dogs JACK, CASS GET HERE or JACK CASS, SIT DOWN the health nurse commented that she seemed to be ahead in some aspects of her speach as most children don't form more than 2 words until after 18mths.

So recently her vocabulary has increased (as expected) and she is starting to join things together more and more, the other day was MUM, MUM, APPLE ... TAAAAAA when i said no she couldn't have it because she had toast and yoghurt she handed her little sister the yoghurt and said ZARA TA...

If i ask her to get me the remote she gets it, same goes for the wipes, her sisters spew rag and my phone.. if my phone rings she will get it and bring it to me. If mine and DP's phones are side by side and i ask for mine she brings me mine.

WELLLLLL she is now COUNTING the other day i said 1 and out of nowhere she said 2, i said 3 she said 4 and so on until 8 when she got excited and started clapping and saying YAY.
So we have started counting and seeing how she goes with it, then yesterday she walked into the kitchen.. 2, 4, 6 , 8 YAYYYYYYYY.

Last week she did her very first wees and poos on the potty.

I am so so proud of my little girl but i honestly wish sometimes she would just slow down so i can take it all in, they are all so quick at learning and doing things i'm scared i'm going to miss it all.

Sorry i just wanted to get it out, i am so so proud of her, DP keeps asking if she's the smartest one at MG and he doesn't know any other kids that age doing these things... he knows 1 other kid her age and i explain they are all different, she is good at some things but not at others and so on.

What a clever little cookie! DS is very similar. The last 6 months have been phenomenal with his speech. He has 4-5 words together and knows and sings Baa baa black sheep, twinkle star, all the wiggles songs and the chorus of I'm a believer! oh and he can also spell FLAP (from wiggles song). it's fun being able to have little conversations with him. He can count from 1 to 10 and backwards too! They grow up too fast!

It's amazing WHAT and HOW QUICKLY they learn, Ava knows actions to wiggles songs and last night i told DP to shutup.. jokingly and A tunred around and said shut up

They grow so quickly, Z is nearly 6mths, A is nearly 2.. ahhhh where have the years gone..

You got a smarty there =)

Totally agree that time just goes too quickly. DD amazes me everyday with the stuff she says that I dont even know where she gets it from!!!! She even sings songs on the radio (current fav is Just Say So - brian mcfadden).

But one bad thing is that she learnt how to say the F word (from foul mouth DADDY) in the correct CONTEXT!!!!!!!!! *sigh*

DD2 is the same, she is 15 months and was telling me yesterday 'I need it' when she wanted toys she couldn't reach. She will bring me things if I ask her, its amazing to watch, but I know what you mean about it happening fast. I wonder if its because they have older siblings who show them the ropes?

black_rose - it's my DD1 so no older siblings but maybe it's because i don't shut up and constantly talk to her and read to her or have music playing etc

I hope for DP's sake DD2 is no where near as much of a chatter box... he wont know where to turn..

oh and he can also spell FLAP (from wiggles song).
DD learnt that one too! Mind you, she also says their lines quite often before they do so it could be that she's just watched the one dvd too many times

I'm constantly amazed at what DD comes out...she's such a sponge, and yep, we have to be really careful - I taught DD cr*p, but luckily, because I didn't make a big deal of her saying it, she hasn't said it for a while.

They def each do things in there own time though - DD's been counting for a few months now (she can get up to 20, although gets a bit excited and counts the same object a couple of times), but its only been in the last 2 months, that she's stringing more and more words together. I've always gone with the idea that they concentrate on one area of development at a time - so its never worried me if one of the kids at mg might have been doing things longer, as there's always something else that DD has been doing longer, iykwim

lol that's what everyone said to me when I had a 12monther who could count to 10 and then an 18monther who could recite the alphabet.....on the flipside DS is the silent assassin...he hardly says anything and i still talk a lot.
