    Calling all Tassie Mums!

    Hi Ladies

My little family is coming to Tassie for a holiday.............in the middle of winter (mid July)! Really looking forward to it, and trying to get organised now. So my questions to you are:

    1. When out and about, what do you dress your babies in? How many layers etc as we are going to be doing a fair bit of outdoor sightseeing.

    2. What do your babies sleep in? Not sure if our accommodations have heating, I'm assuming (and praying!) they do, but if not, what do I need?

    3. Do I need to buy DD thermals?

    4. Oh and I spose I should think about me for once too! How many layers will I need during the day?

    Many thanks in advance x

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! Are you going to be up for a meet up?!?!

Anyhoo - I'll answer your questions.

    1. When out and about I have several layers for the kids - singlet, long sleeved top, t-shirt, and usually a jumper or jacket. If its windy, I add a hat. Then I put a pair of baby legs on as well, under their jeans or trackies.

    2. Your accommodation will definitely have heating. I put the kids in sleep suits and then just adjust their amount of blankets to suit the conditions. Some nights are really mild and some are freezing.

    3. My kids don't have thermals.

    4. I do the same as the kids most days, long sleeved shirt, then short one over the top. Most days I get away with just a tshirt and jacket over the top.

    HTH.

Thanks Mel, you are a great help! Me thinks my luggage is going to weigh a tonne with all that gear

We are doing a fly-drive holiday, so will have to check with hubby if I can squeeze in a meet up as I'm not sure how many days we are spending in each place. Think we are flying into Hobart and out of Launceston. Whereabouts are you? DH also told me that the Cadbury factory no longer does tours....is that true??? I'm shattered, lol!

Thanks Jahzara, what a pity, I would have loved to have seen their inner workings. I guess I'll just have to make do with cheap choccie...hehe

    Only just saw this thread!

I'd love to meet up too, and both those days are good for me .

Where??? I'm happy to offer my house - it's probably easier with toddlers running around. I'm trying to think of other kid-friendly places around... Will have to have a think and get back to you.

Great . Mmm, I better get out the vacuum cleaner, LOL. The 22nd would be a bit easier for me, but I can still do 21st if that's better for everyone else.

Manhatten, I'll PM you my address.
