I used the Bubba Sling with both my munchkins and they were fab, comfy and kept my little ones close to my heart. When they were distressed it was instant comfort for them and me as I could have them close to me and have both hands free. And they kept bub snug and toasty warm as well, no arms and legs hanging out!

Totally depends what you are after, like, do you want a ring sling? A mei tai? A soft structured carrier? A wrap? Heaps of options out there

I bought a baby bjorn and my baby HATED it so we returned it to the shop.

I'd like to join this thread and see what others there are!

We have an Ellaroo ring sling, I love it and we still use it now. But as Arimeh's Eden said, there's heaps of different options.

I wasn't sure how much I would use a sling so I didn't want to spend heaps, so I made myself a mei tai style one. It was simple to make, it cost me $17 and I use it all the time!

It is comfortable and adjustable and I can carry my 10kg bub around for hours with no problems.

    hi hun

are you looking for something for your baby born in 2008? If so I would recommend either a mei tai, a soft structured carrier or a woven wrap.

Some brands for you to google - didymos, ergo, dream carriers, kleinsmekker, beetlebums, ellaroo........

thanks guys, I didn't realise how many different types there were out there lol.

Kitt3n - I'm hoping to start ttc #6 very soon so would like one for when this next one comes along. I plan to push DD3 in the pram, have DD2 holding the pram and carrying the baby in the sling. If we manage this right I will end up having 3 kids 4 years and under. The older 3 I don't have to worry about lol. I do have a twin pram but it takes up so much room in the van that I would prefer to use the single. The only way this will bugger up is if I have twins pmsl.

Just remembered I found a site that compared a heap of different types of carriers a little while ago... I'll see if I can find it and pm it to you if I do.

    Baby slings

I love my close carrier and ergo, babasling I didn't like as it hurt my neck.

hey Kim - if it is for a new little one I would certainly say a Close Carrier for a first time sling user, if not a stretchy wrap (but the close is just SO MUCH EASIER!)

check out ebay at the moment - there are some half price on there from the aussie distributor, they are apparently discontinued colours .... and a bargain
