interstate travel

Hi, i am going interstate for a few days to visit a sick relative.. it is a 6 hr journey. i am going on my own, even though i have done this drive for 40yrs on and off, i have never done it on my own.. i will be taking my almost 4year old with me, he should travel ok, and he has a portable dvd player.. has anyone done a long car journey o their own with a toddler, my partner thinks its a long trip on my own, i will have regular breaks though as well

I'm about to drive 6 hours this weekend with DD to visit my parents. Have done the trip by myself, but not by myself with DD so dunno how it's going to go! If you stop every couple of hours and let him run around he shouldn't be too bad. Take along some kiddy CD's that you can both sing along to and some snacks, maybe a couple of special toys he can play with. good luck! Oh and don't forget the driving lollies/chocolate for yourself
