As the title says sorry if its a stupid question but would prefer to be safe than sorry.
Is it okay to give 9 month old shop bought hummus and avocado dips spread on toast/cruskits? Reason for asking both have added salt and of course hummus contains seasame seeds which can cause reaction. We don't come from allergic family. I can of course just mash real avocado but find he is fussy as to whether he'll take it or not so don't want to have to keep chucking avocado out as its gone brown - dip is just a little bit easier
I'd just get the one with the lowest salt content - our IGA sells a great hummus thats so much nicer than the ones at the big supermarkets with much less salt. A great way to get them used to garlic too!
If you keep your avocado in an airtight container in the fridge it will last a bit longer. I still use it for DD's lunches. I much preferred the real thing!
