Travel tips for almost one year old?

I'm going to my parents this weekend which is normally about 6 hours. I'm driving it by myself as DF can't come, so will just be me & DD.

I know I can do the drive, have done it before by myself, just not with DD. I'm a bit worried how it's going to go...she's bad enough on a 1 hour drive to Wagga. I'm hoping that once she gets past the cranky period after about an hour, she'll either settle down or go to sleep.
I'm planning to leave home as early as I can, hopefully no later than 8am just to give us a bit of extra time because it's not the sort of area you want to be driving in when it starts getting dark.

Will be packing a ton of toys for her and some food, but its going to be difficult because I don't want to be stopping everytime she needs something, I plan on stopping every 2 hours, but don't want to stop anymore than that if I can avoid it.

Any tips for keeping her entertained when it's just me in the driver's seat? I'll take our Wiggles CD, so I hope she'll be happy listening to that if she gets cranky. Maybe it won't be as bad as I think it will be, but I can't stop thinking about it!

I was going to suggest music but it looks like you've already got your wiggles CD... what about some snacks that she can gnaw on, like teething rusks or the Heinz bread sticks? They keep DD amused in the car for a bit...

Not sure what else sorry! We normally travel at night so that's no help to you...

Give her some new toys she hasnt seen before or hide some of her favourite toys from now until you go so they will be like new. Rusk sticks! Books. Try not to stress too much, I hope it goes well for you!
