can u apply for the baby bonus online and if so would this make gettin ur payments faster, seens u dont have to wait for the letter to go through the mail.
and the same as adding a new bub to ur cl payments

I just took my forms into my nearest Centrelink office and I think it only took just over a week for my payments to start.

they give you the paperwork in hospital-i got Dh to fill it at at take it n before i got home!!

i went searching on the centrelink site after posting this and you can do it online and it says it will be processed within 14 days. i am pretty sure it said within 6 weeks on the forms when i had DD and i got it 4 weeks after.

If youre already using Clink online it should be quicker id think, i plan on doing it all online

i think you still have to take the paper formn as well as it has the hospitl certification on the back......we had parts of the paper form to fil in and parts to fill in online....as the PP said it won't make it any quicker to get your money...ours was processed an payments started within a few days.

I got my baby bonuses when they were lump sum so not sure if its changed but I took my form in on a Thurs or Fri & my payment was in my bank account on the Mon

no matter what, you have to provide your paperwork to c'link/fao/medicare - it has proof of birth on it. there is no way to get around that

there is a portion of the claim that has to be done online and then your paperwork submitted.

ETA - processing is up to three weeks from when everything is received (including paperwork as proof of birth) - it will depend on how busy your local office is as to how quickly it is processed
