    When to

So i have always though when little ones start getting a fever and the snot running in there noses turns a different colour its signs of infection and that they may need alittle help with antibotics to get rid of it.
So now DS is displaying in my mind all the symptoms of an ear infection, but....he has no temp and the snot is still running clear. Hes cranky, irritable, wont settle for long especially if im not holding him, he seems to be sore in one ear as his head rests that way when hes awake, i know he has a sore throat as burping seems to hurt, hes snotty but its clear as above and no temp..... now do i go to the doctors or is it just best to wait it out as theres no temp therefor his body must be fighting it off himself?
I know most answers are going to be if in doubt see your doctor which is why im already on the waiting list to get in asap but otherwise theres nothing until wednesday If all else fails and he gets worst im off to the hossy.....but will they even take me seriously seeing as theres no temp?

Bit of a ramble sorry i probably answered my own question in there but i guess im just after some feedback?

I took DS to the Dr on monday and even though he didn't have a temp she still checked his ears and I imagine if he did have an ear infection (I didn't think he did we were there for a cough/cold) so I think if he get's dramaticly worse then go to the hospital otherwise wait til morning and make an appointment with a GP to get your LO checked out JIC.
