Not sure if it will work on those stains but Preen Power shot for carpets is really good for spot stains, you can get it at supermarket, or there is that new Rug Stick thing out which you can also get at supermarket its designed for Rugs but I am sure it will be ok on spot stains. I have not used this one so dont know how good it is but I have heard from others that it is good.

Also you could google stain remoival for that particular type of stain you never know what might come up that you could use that may already be in your cupboard, Shannon Lush is good for that kind of thing.

My daughter left her lipstick out for DS2 to get his hands on... he smeared it all over her bedroom carpet. We got some carpet cleaning fluid that you buy when you hire the machines from woolworths/coles/bi lo etc, diluted it per the instructions on the back and spot cleaned the carpet with a rag. All the lipstick came out and the carpet looks like it had never been attacked by my DS2.

I think the best way for getting stains out in a carpet is to clean the stain immediately. If you see the stains, clean it as soon as possible. This will prevent you from washing it hard when the stains had become very hard to remove.
