    egg donation

    Hi,
Was thinking of donating my eggs after reading n article in the paper but then I thought maybe some clinics pay for them - is this true in WA or is it illegal to sell?
Its not that I don't want to do the right thing, its just I am an extremely broke student right now. I am sorry if this seems selfish and immoral but I will think about donating anyway even if there is no money in it. I am not a mean person, just struggling.
Also which clinics should I talk to?
    Thanks.

I have a feeling it's illegal to sell eggs or sperm. So far as I'm aware clinics only accept altruistic donations - you can contact any of the fertility clinics in Perth and they can put you in touch with a counsellor who can talk you through the process.

I also believe not only is it illegal but I think the general rule is they like you to have "finished" having children. So if you plan to have children in the future it may very well be a no go.
