I do it with a group of people including my mum. It's fun and a pretty good workout but i cant see it being as fun or effective in a home enviroment by yourself. Try and find a group that does it before buying it maybe?

I haven't bought the Zumba dvd's but go to a local hall with an instructor. The music is loud so you really get into it. I'd have to say that i worked up a sweat after the first dance, and i was dripping wet with sweat after the hour was up. A really great workout.
I'm not sure what it would be like doing it at home though. I take my almost 3 year old with me - she can sit and watch or get up and jump around if she wants. Maybe look into classes in your area?

Love Zumba! I have the DVD's which I do at home probably 4 times a week and I go to classes 2 to 3 times a week. I got all the boys at work into doing it and we dance around the office as the DVD's came with a Party Nations CD. Best fun I have had in a long time while getting fit!

hey girls - just checking in on how everyone went with Zumba - I'm thinking of starting zumba classes or dvds with DD (8yo) cos we'd both love it and it looks like a great way to stay fit and lose weight!

I got the dvds and found it easy to follow. Lots and lots of fun, but haven't had it long enough (or done it enough) to notice any results. But feels great afterwards!

    i love Zumba!!!!
i go to a class once a week and do the dvd at home at least twice a week. i find it goes really quick and i get a great work out. I actually find that i can work my abs a bit harder at home as the instructor at the gym has a more hip hop style to his routines. Makes me feel great too!

I love it bi go on Tuesday nights at our local hall. Tbh tho I think the DVDs would suck, not the same atmosphere.
