Smile Parenting PAyment and FTB questions HELP

Hubby is going back to full time work in a few weeks

Currently i get Married rate PP and FTB ... When Hubby goes back to work he will earn about $800 pw after tax. Does this exclude me from being able to receive any payment?

    Not that id complain
But I like to have "My own" income of sorts. Silly I know but I like to put things away for DS and I always save my $$ anyhow

    So ladies
    Anyone in a similar situation?

If you are not earning an income you should still get FTB at least. My hubby was earning $70,000pa and I still received $180.00 a fortnight (for 2 children) as I didnt have an income.

on that kind of income, your PP will eventually cancel. at the moment, your ftba is paid at max rate because you are getting PP. after 6 fortnights in a row of his income being too high, your PP will cut out. your ftba will then be based on your income estimate. ftbb will continue to be based on the income of the lower earner as it is now.

Yeah, it's up to you to discuss your "own"money with DH. I'm sure you can work something out. We used to call it 'sanity money'!
