A different agency came to value the property we are renting?

My real estate agency sent this other agency an email to come and value the townhouse DP and I currently live in as requested by the landlord.

I kinda freaked out. I've been living here for 2 years and haven't ever thought of moving.

What are some of the reasons my landlord would want his property valued? Just to get up to date with the market value? Insurance? Another loan?

To draw equity from if they want to borrow against your house to buy another house.

At least that's the best case scenario
