If you use etax it will auto fill for you, you don't need your paper one.

Surprisingly mine came in the mail heaps earlier this year than any other year!

Partner doesn't have his yet but I've got mine. They're quick on the etax this year then, last year at this time it wasn't pre-filled so we haven't bothered looking. Might have to go check that ...

What payment did you get. If you only got one payment you won't get a group certificate. I think you only get one if you got parenting payment? It could be the other way around though, maybe give them a ring & ask?

ETA - I did my dad's tax for him on etax & it was prefilled about a week ago.

Duh I'm such an idiot, I only get FTB so don't even need anything from C'link to do my return. Did the pre fill thingo on etax whole thing took all of 15mins.
    Thanks everyone

Partner who doesn't have his yet has 364 days of parenting payment and 1 day of DSP - but a LOT of DSP backpay came through this financial year as he claimed in late April but got approved for it on June 30th.

Way to confuse the centrelink system, eh?

DSP is not taxable income so it shouldn't really matter when it's paid in terms of lodging your income tax return.

If you received an income support payment (e.g. parenting payment, newstart allowance, DSP, carers payment, austudy, youth allowance, age pension) you will receive a group certificate - I'm not 100% sure but if you haven't received yours you may be able to print it or request a duplicate via the C'link online services. You will not receive a group certificate if all you received from C'link was FTB.

I'm exactly like you, I have been waiting for the gs to do our tax, only this year I only got the ftb's.
    Derrr. Glad you posted
Not sure how I'm going to live it down when I tell loverboy, though

Partner got PPP and DSP. The PPP is pre-filled up to May.

I got all my group certificates from everywhere quite snappily. I was impressed. I actually got them several weeks before I got thousands of $ in backpay for a period that crossed financial years to May. Should I be worried?
