Exclamation Have I got everything covered??

Help! I need to make sure I've got everything covered for DS' 1st b'day next weekend.

We're going to put a change table outside as there will be ten nappy wearers attending .

I've got plastic cutlery, plates and decorations. Foam cups for coffee...coffee, sugar, tea bags all sorted.
Plastic platters for nibble food (all bought) with healthy options.
Hard plastic platters for oven food (mini spring rolls and pies, pasties etc).
Foil trays for meat from the BBQ.
Cake to be picked up on the morning of the party.
Area's to keep little ones from are covered off so they're safe.
We are putting the netting up around the trampoline so if parents put their kids in it they're trapped in lol!
Dogs will be taken to my dads house.
CD music to be burnt onto discs.
We aren't doing lolly bags as all the kids are young, so instead we'll have a 'family portrait' taken of the family and we'll post it out as the 'thank you' afterwards.
A bin is accessible so there should hopefully be minimal mess afterwards.
Ice to be bought on the morning of the event as well as the pre ordered food.
Phone call to be made to a place re - availability of marquee just in case.
Drinks have been purchased (all cans, coke, lemonade and pepsi max).
Gas in BBQ cylinder to be checked by DH.

Ummmm, anything I've forgotten? Please if I've missed it state the obvious

The one thing that I forgot was juice poppers for older kids that dont drink softdrink but are not water fans LOL! Had to send my dad out to get.

Sounds like my DD's 1st party. I also put a selection of toys outside for little ones to play with so they had something to do.

Yep - deocrations sorted DB :-)

M2R - We gave DS his pressies on his actual birthday (last Thursday) so there is another tick in the box.

Bella - I told DH yesterday we should do that, he didn't think it was necessary. I'll buy some anyway hehe!

How about a wash station? Either some wipes or a bucket of warm water and a towel?
Have you got enough serving utensils and cutlery?
I second the juice - we bought little water bottles (like the macca's ones) and juice for the kids at DD's party. Because it was summer (and a 40 degree day!) and we had a bouncy castle, we figured 3 per child... and only had a couple left!
Have you got enough seats? Some for the adults and maybe a cushion or rug area for the kids?
Matches for the candles? (You'd be surprised how many people forget that!)

Did you check the cook times and temps for the oven food? Perhaps have a look at it and work out what can go in when. We had different foods needing to be cooked for different times on different temps. So we cooked the longest stuff on the highest temp first and then reduced oven temp - takes less time to cool than heat up.

Have you got helpers? Just to help you get food out and still keep an eye on the kids. We worked it so that DH did all the food prep upstairs whilst I was down entertaining the kids and Mum's.

There is one more thing you forgot... my invite!

Rubbish bins and Recycling Bins for bottles and cans etc (10cents a pop )
I love the family portrait idea, a friend did that her her DS's first birthday, she painted a mural and everything cowboy theme, but it was lovely as we have a photo of me not long before DD arrived

    panadol for afterwards?

Oh, something for people to take cake home in if they don't want to eat it there? Or if you have copious amounts of left over cake like we did!
