    3 month old with conjunctivitis

We were at a first birthday party on the weekend and someone so kindly shared their conj. with my 2yo, she has since shared it with her baby sister. The eye drops say 'not suitable for infants', so what should I use??
I rang to get an appoinment with my Dr but he is off for the week, I have been put in with another Dr but he is hopeless so hoping someone can tell me what to do then I will cancel my appointment!!!
    Thank you IA

Try and get an appointment with an Optometrist..they bulk bill and can check it out for you and is more up their line of work. They also will have more availability of appointments.
EBM can work, never did on DD.
I bought some Fess little wipes to get a really good clean in the morning and then would just wipe gently through the day with cotton ball and water.
And if you get an appt with an Optom, see if they can fit in DD1 too and get them to look at it if it hasn't cleared up.

it depends if it is bacterial or viral...
viral will usually clear just by keeping the eye clean...
so suggest you use breast milk if possible or saline or you can make up a solution 1 cup water (boiled and cooled) and 1tsp salt. keep it sterile and use cotton wool to wipe eye all day (like every hour at least) to see if that clears it. my gp also suggested cooled cmmomile tea which we used at child care for DS and it worked well (i used bm when we were at home)
    good luck!

ps of course also lots of hand washing etc.
