What are these cramps?

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if anyones experienced this:
Just now I've had some cramps in my lower tummy, I had 5 of them, lasting about 20 secs and about 2 mins apart, they've stopped now.
Hubby was going to take me to the hospital as they were quite painful and scary.
What do you think?
They are gone now, would you still go to the hospy?

Cramps? Or just tightenings? Is there any discharge? It could just be braxton-hicks but if very painful ... hmmm maybe give the hospital a call, the midwives will assess you over the phone and let you know what to do.

Hmm not sure wether it was cramps or tightening, it was a sharp sort of pain that lasted about 20 secs and then went back to normal, happened 5 times.
No discharge, I feel fine now but I'm a little concerned.

It's probably fine, but it can't hurt to just ring and talk to the midwives. It would put your mind at rest, at least.
