Ooh where can you get them? DS always has carpet burn from crawling around.

Haha!! No I never saw the point of them myself.

Heva - do you have any baby legs? My kids wore them all the time whilst crawling, especially when on carpet.

I think they would be a waste of money too. Kids have been crawling forever without the need for knee pads!

I second the baby legs idea, cute and great for winter!

Is that what baby legs are for? I have never understood what they do....

hey if you are interested, after some research, easy to make yourself. just take some old thick baby socks, cut the toes out of them, pull them up over their knees, and presto!

IMO baby knee pads are a clever marketing ploy - talk about creating a "need" to seel a product LOL!!!

I don't have any but I think they would come in handy for nappy free time, so bare skin isn't being rubbed raw. Leg warmers are probably a more versatile alternative. I've been looking for them everywhere.

I have seen the babylegs but thought they might be a bit thin, he still gets red knees from wearing his thin pants and the ones I saw weren't much thicker. The other thing was do they fall down as he's crawling around or do they stay up pretty well?
I guess at $15 it might be worth a go, I'm a bit worried about it with summer coming up...

The only ones that fall down here are huggalugs, they seem to be smaller, so fall down on DD2's chubby thighs. Baby legs are normally fine though?

Thank's Arimeh's Eden, I'll see if I can convince DF to let me get some, I can feel another obsession coming on. Lol.

DS has crawled over tiles, carpet, grass etc etc and has never had a need for knee pads. Although when i used to try and get on the floor and crawl around with ds i was in so much pain. Their little knees are made for crawling! Definately a clever marketing ploy.

    baby knee pads, worth it?

I bought some they cost me $40, DD hated them and they didn't help her crawl any better if anything they hindered her cause they annoyed her...

We have tiles in most of the house and DS crawls like a madman over them and often has little bruises on his knees/legs from all his climbing, but it hasn't slowed him yet.

I too think its a ploy, and as Beautitude said - Their little knees are made for crawling!

They adapt too I find, like do a crab crawl or a hands and feet crawl. I used to get sore knees too lol but the thing is.. they DON'T have kneecaps to get sore at their age, it's cartlidge so it's soft. I wish I had thought of the marketing ploy though rofl!!! I never used anything either.
