    First IVF Cycle

    Hi eveyone

Been TTC for almost 2 years, being normal unexplained infertility to a sudden damage to my tubes after a overian cyst burst. So our only hope is IVF

I'm currently on my 2ww after having my first IVF cycle. We have been quite happy with results having 6 out of 10 fertilized and 4 of which was normal and only 2 with ICSI. Transfer took place 3 days ago. Can anyone please give me some tips on how to pass the 2ww and is there anything i can do to help with implantation. I'm feeling great just a bit bloated and still doing the pessaries

    Hi duffy,

I had my visit with FS today expecting to start a round of IUI but he has helped us see reason that IVF is a better choice for us. We have also been seriously trying for about 2 years and I had quite a bit of endo removed earlier this year. After 6 months of trying to go it solo, we're now ready to embark on the IVF journey. FS started me on the pill today and I go back to see him in three weeks. I'm loving hearing other people's stories so far, it's definitely helped me keep things in perspective (ie. I'm not the only one going through this!!). Hope your TWW is a quick one!

    Hi Duffy,

I found the 2ww to be the hardest part of the whole IVF process. I drove myself mad googling everything! It's hard but try and keep busy, I found that watching loads of funny films, my favourite programs eg Friends helped a lot. Kept me laughing and my mind off things to an extent. Also getting out for nice meals, walks, etc with DH.

Just wanted to wish you loads of luck!

    Hi Duffy,

Sorry to hear of your fertility problems, I've had my share too! My hubby had a snip (vasectomy) years ago, so when we had that reversed and it wasn't successful ,we went to IVF which was our only option and we did ICSI in the first cycle. We got some good embies, but only 2 went to blast stage which was what our FS recommended we do. We managed to get pg on the first go with a fresh transfer which was Joshua (we lost unfortunately him but it was due to a large fibroid that got in the way not b/c there was something wrong with him) and then we tried again a year later with a frozen embie and got pg again too. I found that being relaxed and not having too many expectations was the way to go for me. I also took a few days off work after my transfer, and like Sue, I veged out on the couch and watched funny movies so my mind wasn't on the 2WW. GL in your cycle hun, I hope you get your long awaited BFP!!

    Beata xx
