ivf first timer + sudden huge increase in oestrogen levels while taking synarel

Hi all,

I'm doing ivf for the first time. I have been taking synarel for about two weeks. I got my period 6 days late so a week after being on synarel for a week. I've had 3 blood tests. My blood test on Fri showed my oestrogen level was at 300 and then it dropped to 248 yesterday and today it has increased to 660 which they are puzzled by. They want me to get an ultrasound and another blood test on Thurs. They don't want me to start jabbing yet. Can anyone help with what could be causing this?

It's possible that the synarel hasn't been able to switch off your hormones enough. I had a similar thing in my first cycle, I had a scan and they found a nice big fat follicle on one ovary. I had a trigger shot and there was a bit of a delay, but the cycle got underway again, but this time we used lucrin for down regulation rather than synarel.
