Uggghhhhh, I disgust myself!!!!! Kick in the behind required!
I have just eaten a WHOLE PACKET OF BISCUITS!
I started weight watchers a few weeks ago and do well most days - but the past week or so I have been craving chocolate BIG TIME! I have a chocolate bar most days at the moment, or a hot chocolate drink. I never usually even have a sweet tooth!
I need to get back on the wagon, someone give me a swift kick in the @ss! Please!
My weight losses are small but that is ok, I've lost 2kg since starting a month ago - I am breastfeeding and so freaking HUNGRY all the time. I struggle to stay within my points but go over with healthy food usually so don't feel so bad.
Don't worry about today, write it off and start fresh tomorrow. It does sound like you are needing more food though, possibly because of the BF and it's making you crave sugar, so maybe look at what is going on to make you crave it (feeling tired and needing a boost etc) and then have something else sweet like fruit or even a yoghurt to satisfy the craving but a better option than junky food.
Have a look at your food choices throughout the day. Be brutally honest with yourself. Are you tracking everything? If so write next to what you are eating the time of day and how you are feeling. When I was breastfeeding I was on 27pts a day. 27pts is one familyblock of chocolate (w2hich I used to eat nearly every night pre- WW). Or it is ALOT of food if I make the right choices.
There is NO eXcuse to go hungry with WW. There is always something you can eat, even when you have no points left. Zero point food: vegies: steamed, grilled, raw, etc; salsa (dip your vegie sticks in); vegie soup (I keep some frozen and some fresh); diet jelly; diet cordial icypoles.
Also keep around plenty of low point snacks; airpopped popcorn, yogurt, fruit, etc. And bulk up ALL of your meals with vegies. Seriously there isn't a single meal throughout the day where you cann't eat some kind of vegie dish before or bulk up you meal with.
Having said all that, I have been in your situation a million times. You are not alone in this. The biggest thing is to learn from you mistake, but don't beat yourself up about it, just get straight back up and try again. Toddlers don't learn to walk the first time they try, they have many spills and bumps along the way - they just don't give up until they can do it. We are no different and we cann't give up either.
And I will tell you something, as hard as I thought it was sticking to my points while breastfeeding, it is so much hard when you stop b/f and loose 7pts all in one hit!
Good luck.
Have you checked out the WW forums and community groups? there is some good support to be found over there.
When i do track I am totally honest with myself. I've done WW before with huge success (lost 12kg in 8 weeks in 2006) and know that I can do it again, it has become an addiction - I do it online and LOVE the online tools and have the food tracker sitting open on my computer all day so that I can pop things in when I need to.
I am usually soooo good but this past week or so I've just fallen royally in a heap. I don't even like chocolate that much!
I'm also struggling to get out of the house for a walk - there is no reason for this it just seems too hard sometimes! This soooo isn't me!
Anyway, thanks so much for your help lovelies, it means a lot that people post.
Tomorrow is a brand new day - and even better than that - I have made a gorgeous chicken salad for dinner. Nice and healthy and low in points to make up for the damage caused by the bickies! EEKK!
