When starting to eliminate foods from the household...
did you throw everything out immediately or ease the kids into it by eliminating a few foods at a time?
For various reason we have decided to cut a number of additives out of mainly DS's diet. We eat pretty healthily but DS is such a fussy eater and a few of the only foods he does eat have these particular preservatives in them. He is 4 and DD is 6.5 so I know its not going to be easy adjusting to the changes.
Its a bit like ripping off a band-aid...do I do it fast or slow???
I have read that if you don't know what food is causing the problem, eliminate one at a time, otherwise you will never be able to pinpoint which is the culprit.
I'm not sure - many foods will have multiple preservatives/additives in them, so there will be some that you wont be able to remove singularly. Have you spoken to a dietitian about it? They might be able to help?
