    How long?

    Hi ladies,

Hoping that I cant get a few answers here...

How long after an egg transfer did you ladies get an accurate POAS positive?

And how many days old was your embryo when it was put in? 3 day or 5 day?

    Hey,

I was told to wait 14 days after a 5 day embryo transfer. But I waited 12 days because the 14th day was a saturday. I was actually going to wait till day 13 but I bought the tests on the evening of the 12th day and then just couldn't wait. I got a really strong line that evening. The next morning my HCG was 796 - I was 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant at that point. I actually had a gut feeling that I was pregnant though 5 days before testing. I felt really sick and it turned out my morning sickness lasted pretty much my whole pregnancy.

Anyway, how long have your clinic told you to wait?

    amy,

I had a 3 day embryo transferred and tested 12 days post transfer (I couldn't wait the 14 either) Got my pos straight away.

Be careful about testing too early though as you may get a false pos due to the trigger shot. I imagine that would be devestating!

Are you on pregnyl boosters? They'll give you a false positive is all.
I never used hpts on my cycles - too afraid of getting my hopes up with a chemical pregnancy.
    Good luck!

    Hi Aim,

I had a 6 day old (it was a 5 day old embryo that they froze on the 6th day) embryo put in last year, so a FET, and I tested 5 days before my scheduled BT (I think it was on day 10 after my transfer). I had a lot of cramping on and off since the tranfer, and I had a 'gut' feeling to test on the Saturday and my BT was scheduled for the following Thursday. On the Saturday, I had a very faint line (one you had to really strain to see) and then I just kept on testing every day and the line was coming up quicker and darker each time. I was scheduled to see my FS on the Tuesday (so two days before my BT) to discuss further treatment if the FET didn't work, and he did the BT on the day. He phones me up at 8 pm that night with the good news.
    GL with your cycle hun!

Im having a transfer on saturday and part of me is too chicken to do a poas before the official test.

The other part of me REALLY will want to.

I know a woman who did hpt's everyday from transfer so she could see the false positive drop off from the trigger shot then a real positive come back when she was pg.... I'd be worried this would make me obsessive though IYKWIM

Haha I know what you mean about becoming obsessive Kimmi!!!

Im going to buy a POAS on Saturday and try and put it in the cupboard. DH doesnt want me to do one, he has gone back to work and does not come back until the day of the drug test.
