    sticky hooks

We are moving (*stress*) and we have got those hooks with the sticky backs which are meant to come off clean and not take paint etc...

    Well...

Ive tried to get a few off, and you pull the little tab, and in these cases the tabs just rip off!!! so now there is no way to get them off with out pulling the hook which then rips all the paint off!!!

does anyone know a trick, or can help to get these things off the walls and celing?

The only thing I can suggest is perhaps using an iron on steam to release the sticky. Shoot the steam as close to the hook as possible and this should release it. Make sure that when you pull the tab if you have to apply as much pressure to the clip as possible as this should help the tab do what it's supposed to and come away before pulling on the paint.

Or tweezers to pull at the bottom of the sticky bit usually works too.
