How many times can I answer questions beginning with "why"?
DD is driving me nuts!!!! She is three and continually asks why. I know this is what kids do, but wow! I really just don't know how to answer. Why are your jeans ripped? Because they're too long. Why are they too long? Because I bought a bigger size. Why did you buy a bigger size? Because I'm having a baby and ...... it just goes on and on and on.
She is such a talkative girl at the moment. I am sitting outside and she does not shut up. She is all by herself and it's not until she repeats herself I realise I have to acknowledge that phrase.
No such thing as quiet time around here!
Not sure what I want from this, just had to share!!
I remember when my sister was little (around that age) and she discovered the word why. I was 8 at the time and it used to frustrate the hell out of me. Poor mum had her asking why, and me asking why she was asking why!!!!
And they just keep going and going. They never seem to tire out do they?? My DD is exactly the same at the moment!! Don't forget the mum, mum, mum, mum, mummy, mummy!
DS doesn't do this too much. I ask him "what do you think?" and he comes up with his own answer, most of the time it's right as well. But it's something he can understand and he doesn't ask me too much any more.
