Just as the title says... I'm wondering what age you start using toothpaste? DD only has 8 teeth which we just clean with a soft toothbrush and water. But, molars are on their way and it got me wondering.
Also, do you start with a kid-specific toothpaste or is that just a marketing ploy? And do your toddlers eat/swallow it? I can't see DD mastering the rinse and spit any time soon.
You start when they can spit, often around 3ish, some kids are younger. And no, kids toothpaste isn't a gimmick , it's lower in fluoride (cos most will still try to eat it LOL). So yeah, you would use that until about 6-7. HTHs
Weleda make a great kids' toothpaste without any nasties in it, and my daughter just loves it. The adult ones are great too- you will never go back to supermarket ones again! DD swallows it but I don't mind given what it is made of. They are in the health food shop!
