Leak-proof swimwear for babies? Or 'swim nappies'?

DD will hopefully start swimming lessons in a month or two, and I was wondering whether anyone has used supposedly leak-proof swimwear??
I didn't know this existed until I saw some online. I thought you just had to use those 'swim nappies'.

I'm interested in your experiences with either! Thanks.

We use them with DD2 when she was swimming. The local swim centre was fine with them. You will find however that they aren't water leak proof but poop proof. To stop the poops getting out into the water. As long as they are snug fitting they work well.

We use cloth ones as well. Even the disposable ones only keep the poo in....water isn't going to stay anywhere that's wet.

I have a $6 cheapie from Kmart and I have to say it's been fantastic. Recently we had an extended summer (like until the end of June lol) and we swam every single day. This little sucker has washed and worn so well.

I just bought a monkey doodlez but we are yet to try it out. I got totally confused by all the different types so made my decision solely on cuteness factor.......ooops.

Excuse my ignorance - but cloth swim nappies? Where do you get them from?

I haven't seen any leak-proof bathers at department stores, but maybe I'm not looking hard enough....
