there is a whole section dedicated to cloth nappies.
it explains the types and also get some idea of brands people like.

roughly i suggest about 8 a day so 16-24 24 will give you a break in washing
though i wash daily anyway. but the extra give me a back up
in saying that i currently have 36 in circulation for my bub lol

    Hi there

We have a great cloth nappy section here, and there is a great thread going over the basics for you if you wanted to read up about that first:-

    HERE

I always direct people there, cos it covers so many options for you and has so many different questions.

Then after you work out which kind of nappy system you think would fit your lifestyle best - you can work out the questions best suited for you!

Good news, unless you're a purest, you don't need pins anymore. I'm just delving into the world of cloth nappies myself and wish the new types of cloth nappies and their convenience was better advertised. Until I stumbled across the bellybelly nappy forum, I still had the oldschool visions of terry nappies and crunchy plastic covers.

I still use terry flats and covers (not the crunchy plastic covers though, the good modern covers!)

Sometimes its the old school stuff that works the best

Do you have any issues with nappy rash? I've heard along the grapevine that the terry was terrible for that.

Hmm.. I haven't noticed any difference between using terries and using their MCN's. I only have a small stash now (sold what didn't suit and have only been left with two hard to get types!) for two girls, so we usually get 2 days MCN's, and one day of terries. The girls have rashes from teething at the moment, 9 month old is getting another tooth, and 2 year old is getting her top molars - so its hard to say its coming from the flats - cos it only turns up after they do an awful poop.
