    Gymbaroo, worth it?

I have a very active 16 month old. He hasn't started walking yet but looooves climbing and generally being a monkey. So was thinking Gymbaroo might be something worthwhile (and perhaps even encourage a few steps out of the stubborn little blighter!) but it is pretty expensive. Anyone care to share their experiences? It it worth it?

Yes it's been worth it for us. I'm typing on my phone so won't go in to detail. We've been going for one term, have signed up for next term too. It's fun, lots of music, games, tactile activities and jumping all over gym equip. Will be more active for your LO given his age.

My DD loved it for about 2 terms and then got bored. I persevered for a third term but in the end it did my head in though! The free play climbing part is great but the singing and group mat time got really repetitive and boring. DD doesn't miss it and we are now doing playball which she loves and it doesn't do my head in

Not sure where in Melbourne you are but some Gymbaroo Centres have a free trial class for first timers, so you could take your DS along and give it a go before signing up.

Feeb - your centre is running 'family' classes this coming term, you can take both kids to the same class for a discounted price

Thanks for the replies everyone. Have just shot an email off enquiring about classes and whether they offer a trial class (ta Alicia for the heads up about that )
I think DS will enjoy it as long as he isn't expected to keep still lol!
