Well DH, kids and I are off to a Grand Final BBQ tomorrow and I've been tasked with sweets. There will be 8 adults and possibly 5 kids of varying ages.
I thought I'd do a fruit platter with a choccy dip, good for kids and the choccy will appeal to the adults as well.
I want to do something else as well - something cakey or more desserty, that I can cook tonight when kidlets are sleeping.
Any suggestions? I'd rather it not be chocolate as I've already got that food group covered!
What about a cheesecake or a lemon curd tard? Neither needs to be baked and you could make individual ones if you want so no cutting etc as Onyx said. Or a slice of some sort - my SIL does a great apple crumble slice. A pavlova? Right, guess what I'm craving now...
you could cheat get yourself some tart shells little bit size ones, whisk up 600ml of cream stir thru the same amount of thickened custard then fill the shells decorate with a strawberry or 2 or shave of choc or leave plain so delicious
