    Cold Sores

    DS has sprouted his first cold sore this morning (caught it from me )

    Is there anything I can do to help it heal faster and be reduce the pain?

    odd i know but a little wil help reduces itchyness and soreness
    also make sure he keeps up fluids etc..

    Hmm I might have a sample tub... Oh no wait that's sudocream is that the same? Lol

    also being his first one how long should it take to clear up?

    paw paw is good
    prob about 3-4 days
    depends on his immune system..

    Paw paw is the best thing ever for cold sores!

    In their earliest phase, though, I always dab with an alcohol wipe to dry it out. Seems to stop it being able to grow too much. When it's in its really soggy gross phase, I dab bicarb on them, and paw paw in the late stages, it really helps them to heal.

    I usually bank on about 10 days for each of mine, but as a kid I think they were a bit quicker.
