Starting the pill on time

How important is it?

I saw my doctor last week and he gave me a script for the pill and said to start on the first day of my next period. I didn't have the money to get it so was waiting until tomorrow but my periods started today.

Can i start it tomorrow or do i have to wait until next month?

I think you will be fine to start it tomorrow because the tablets you take while you have your period are actually just sugar tablets so you remember to keep taking them so I would start tomorrow on the second day of the red bit on the pill packet and you will be fine

I second what Tanstar said and some people actually just throw the sugar tablets out and just start taking the pill again the following week.
