Reccomendations needed: books for 18 mnth - 2 yo

DD loves stories and we must read 10 a day, some 4 or 5 times in a row! I'm getting SO sick of some of the ones we have and am finding that the library does not have much to offer for her level of language development - it's either really simple board books or quite complex stories with lots of text.

So, tell me your favourites for this age. Some of the ones that we have and love...
    Where is the green sheep?
    I went walking.
    Very hungry catepillar
    Who sank the boat?
Ten little fingers and ten little toes.

DD1 loves when we read to her and she has a vast vocab for her age (not all clear but words all the same), i have found the books with colors and the lift-tabs are brilliant, she will copy when we say PINK then she says PINK ICE CREAM or PINK FLOWER.

I go to the discount book stores and she often 'picks' a book, sometimes it's just full of gorgeous pictures, other times it's something she recognises.

I find books she recognises a picture in more fun for her, she relates and gets excited as we flip the pages.
Some of her books are quite long and detailed but she will sit there and just enjoys pointing at the pictures she knows and listening to the sound of my voice.

Good luck choosing.. Dr Seuss are good.

I love the Hairy Mclary series. The rhythm of them is really fun to read and my 17 month old DD loves them.

    Lets go visiting
Any counting book (we have an old one called Squirrel Numbers)
    Various nursery rhyme books

She has them off by heart and recites them back, running her finger along the words as she talks. If I didn't know better, I'd say she can read ...

DD loves books with pictures of things like animals etc that she can point to and tell us what they are and then clap herself, lol.

She also loves lift the flap ones! Any book really. We have heaps of everything because it's a PITA reading the some one 4 times in a row!! lol.
