    Comprehensive Insurance/Home Contents - puzzled

I have home and contents insurance and pay $60 per month, we are covered for $350,000. Yesterday I rang our company to get a quote to insure the car, now it is only worth $3,000, it is full comprehensive insurance and I was quoted $55.00 per month. I don't really get it. There is not much difference in the amount we would be paying but a huge difference for the amount being insured. I should have asked but I'd already been on the phone for about 30min. Anyone know why? TIA.

    Regards,
    Dianne

I knew it would be something simple, of course. Thank you.

I pay about $55 for the car (also an old one that isn't worth much now), $50 for one house and $34 for the other house. Funnily, the cheapest policy is the most risky one - landlord's insurance.

When I first got the car policy it was about $150 a month!!
