Robot Vaccuum Cleaner?

Hi Girls,
I have been thinking for a while about getting one of those robot vaccuum cleaners. I dont want to get an expensive one and I was thinking about one of the cheaper ones on ebay, has anyone brought and used one of these.

My birthday is coming up soon and I am thinking of asking the family to all throw in and help me get one, which they would be happy to do.

I only want it so I can set it to work just to keep the place tidy during the week and then do one big main vacuum once a week. We have vinyl planks in our house.

I'd love a roomba but $600 is too much for me to pay for a vacuum cleaner

I have a roomba - was about $450 from Harvey Norman and was a christmas present from my parents who have had one for years. I love it. Just wish it could pick up all the toys itself first! It works really well on hard floors and is fine on carpets too. If you are very picky sometimes if it bumps into something a few bits of fluff might fall out, but to me who is a very lazy cleaner that is fine.

lol sweetgloss, a new vac is special and exciting to me too, lol I got a new washing machine not long ago and I was so excited hahahahah.

Hmmmm, I just spent over a thousand on a vac start of this year... I wonder if i could justify a new one yet :-) Sounds great :-)
