DD is 22 MO and she is still drooling like she did when she was little!
Should I be worried about this? I dont think she has her 2 yo molars but she has all her other teeth and has had for a while. When she was born she had a slightly mishapen head but is pretty much poped back to normal - there is a little flatish spot but you can tell under her hair - would this have to do with her drooling? The MCHN said her jaw was slightly out of line when she was born due to her head shape - would this be an issue? I dont think her jaw is out - but it never looked to be anyway.
Sorry this has turned into a long winded question!
We have had a couple of children at the cc centre i work at who dribble, some up to the age of around 3.
2 of the children have seen speech pathologists as the dribbling can be due to poor muscle tone and just requires some exercises to build up the muscles. It might be worth while asking for a referral to a speechy from your mchn if your dd id still dribbling after she gets her 2yr old molars.
