Your cup. Tell us about it.

I know I'm not the only person here who's fussy about their cup.
I had a minor tragedy here last week when my cup got cracked and started leaking(I managed to find a plastic cup that fits inside it so it's now a vase lol).
I bought a new cup yesterday. It looks nice because it has blue wrens on it and they take me to my happy place but it's the wrong size so I have ordered some online from the place I bought my last one. Let's hope they're the right ones.

So, if you're a person who has a special cup please tell me about it

    Clearly I am stalking you.

My coffee has to be made in one of the ceramic, rustic, handmade mugs we bought at the St Andrews market. I love that we are supporting local artists and somehow that Moccona just tastes better it it than a porcelain one. When we break one we just buy a few more the next time we go!

Oooooooo I have a mug fetish. Hehehe. I have one with a cartoon girl on it holding a martini. My favorite one though is my best mum in the world mug. It says home is where mummy is. The girls bought it for me for my first mothers day with both of them. It's pink and it's got two cartoon girls on it too. It's special and makes my tea taste extra nice

I have a really old chipped one with Rangers Football Club on it - I've had it since I was 16 and love it. No other cup will do. It's just the right size. I was scared when we moved over here that it would get lost or broken in the move but it's still going strong.

I like my coffee out of a mug with straight sides, but I like my tea out of a vase-shaped cup (finer china too).

I have an ultra-special mug that my Mum used to make me cuppas in.. I would be completely devestated if it broke - so I only use it occasionally.

I loooove my coffee cups! I have two favourites at the moment, my first one I bought after reading another thread on BB Lol, it's a Very Hungry Caterpillar mug.
My 2nd one is a hand made one my DH got me from Italy in a little town called San Gigimano when he was over there in May.
When I was 19, I went and saw the Phantom of the Opera, I bought a Mug that is black and has the Phantom on it. The Phantom only shows up when you put hot liquid in it, I still have it!
And I have my BellyBelly Mug..very huggable.

I have two, they are identical! An elephant with a baby elephant, lovely blue cloudy background. Tall, long mug, holds a little bit more than the other mugs we have. No idea what it's made out of, probably just ceramic, it's lighter and slighty thinner. I got them about 5 years ago as a Christmas present from my parents after they broke my old mug (that I can't even remember now!). They bought me two, because of how devastated I was when the old one broke.

My fave is a great big pink one that says yummy mummy, lol. About twice the size of a normal coffee cup. DH has a black one, but he doesn't like it, so its my back up. Even though it says worlds greatest dad or something.

I have heaps of coffee cups, all brightly coloured and most the same size.

On Friday I finally got my Mythbusters coffee cups in the mail so time to kick back and pretend I'm Adam *grin*

lol, I'm boring and I only have a soup mug for my coffee. It's a jadey blue colour. I like it because I don't have to make 2 coffees to get 2 coffees IYKWIM. Plus because it has a wide base i am less likely to knock it over as I'm REALLY clumbsy. I had a nicer one which was a winnie the pooh one and it was HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE! It was about a halfway between medium and large macca's cup size but alas it met a devastatingly painful death when the washing machine hit spin cycle with linen in one day :sigh"

I have a mug for work that has pictures of women with flashy handbags and shoes (cartoon ladies!) and someone used it at work and I had a massive hisssssy fit. I am a bit about the whole incident because I went OTT and got the dymo labeler and plastered my name all over the cup with a warning to those to not use it!!

I will only drink my tea from the biggest possible mug. So far my fave is a huge 500ml bright orange thing that I can't even pick up with one hand when it is full.

My mum alway fills my mug up partway and I asked her if the tide went out! :-)

I have at least 20 mugs, but there is one that I must have my drinks in. It is big, black and has tattoo artwork on it. My morning hasn't started unless I've had coffee in it and my night hasn't ended unless I've had tea in it. Funny thing is I'm happy to have my 2nd cup of coffee in another mug but the first one of the day is in that mug.

I actually have my mug of tea for tonight sitting next to me in the mug, I'm about to log off, go and just sit and be in the now while drinking the tea, clearing my mind and preparing myself for bed.

I had a minor tragedy here last week when my cup got cracked and started leaking
I remember reading about that and thinking "that could be me"
I too am a fussy cup girl, I have a couple though. I have 2 big mugs for flavoured lattes and 2 smaller ones for tea. I don't like thin/fine china I prefer a more chunky lip and I can't stand drinking from the pottery type cups lol But they also have to 'feel' just right in your hand.
One big one is white on the inside and brown on the outside and says chocaholic.
The other is pale blue on the inside and brown on the outside with big blue spots (woolies special )
The small ones are pale pink and pale blue.

I only use one cup - That is my 'worlds greatest mummy" cup. it's white with pink writing, and it's big so i get a noice hit of caffine in the morning... And everyone knows it's my cup, when my friends come over for coffee they even go and search for 'my cup' so not to get the wrong one :-)
