bleeding after DTD

hey all..

33 weeks pregnant and after DTD last night i woke up around 1:30am with some braxton hicks tightenings (not painful pain but uncomfortable pain IYKWIM) but only when i was lying down.. (around every 5-10mins) when i sat up i wasnt getting any.
so i then went to the toilet and when i wiped i had a fair amount of brown-ish bleeding on toilet paper. DTD was not painful or uncomfortable in any way..
i have read that its quite normal to bleed a little afterwards but not sure about the tightenings. it has eased off but still a little bit when i wipe. not totally freaking out but little concerned.. has anyone else experienced this?

i have an ultrasound booked in for today anyway and bubs is still moving around as normal. still getting a couple of tightenings but nothing regular. just wanting advice..

Hi Eza

Some bleeding after DTD is quite common, and providing that it is only a small amount it is not a problem.
Because your contractions eaed when you got up I am sure they were Braxton Hicks. DTD can bring on Braxton Hicks and again is nothing to worry about

Isn't it wonderful having people like Alan here...
I was going to say the same, i had bleeding right through my PG with DD1 after DTD.. so much so i basically told DP he couldn't touch me cos i was stressing myself out.

thanks alan.. everything is fine now.. bleeding stopped.
ultrasound went really well.. was so amazed at how much he has grown since the 20 wk scan..
